Since our club’s humble origins in 1921, we have grown exponentially. In the space of 90 years, we have garnered a reputation as one of Sydney’s finest golf clubs. This is of course, aided with our beautiful golf club location in stunning North Shore, Collaroy. Expect to see breathtaking ocean views endlessly at our club, function centre and world class golf course.
Speaking of golf, our course is highly unique. With 18 holes of varying difficulties, a tremendous par 72 layout, spectacular panoramic ocean views and classic greenery, it is clearly a golfer’s dream, irrespective of one’s ability level. However, if you would like to improve your golfing skills, we do offer private and/or group based tuition classes taught by professionals. Please contact a member of our team for further information.
Although we are predominately a Sydney based golf club, we do provide other services. Services such as event planning and function catering are our forte – and we would love to share our experience and beautiful setting with you.
In the past 90 years, we have planned/provided our golf club function centre, alongside our grand outdoor terrace to be the basis for the following events:

What does joining the club involve?

Do I require golf equipment and golf clothing?
For public golf Sydney enthusiasts, we can provide the ideal equipment that you require when you are starting out along with giving you guidance regarding purchases that you should make. Golf lessons north shore are offered by qualified and friendly instructors. All you have to do is call or visit and a member of staff will help you pick a suitable time that is convenient for you and the professional that you choose.
There is no initial dress code during coaching in the early stages of undertaking the lessons at our golf courses Sydney and practice areas. We encourage everyone to dress comfortably and appropriately for an outdoor sporting activity. Individual and group lessons are both available.
Golfers can be accompanied by their family members who will also enjoy an opportunity to learn and have a lot of fun while becoming familiar with various aspects of golf through their golf membership Sydney. Everyone is welcome to begin and soak in the scenic view of the north shore beaches.
Is a café or restaurant available?
After enjoying a round of golf, golfers and guests can head over to the Clubhouse to enjoy a meal at our waterfront Café or just enjoy a drink and soak up the view. Non-members are welcome to visit golf clubs Australia, enjoy our facilities and grab something to drink and eat. Under the NSW Registered Cubs Act, all guests residing with a 5K radius of Long Reef Golf Club are required by law to either be a member of the club or be signed in by an accompanying member. Please see our house membership for more details.
Club facilities provide a suitable venue for people to meet for drinks and snacks. Visitors at public golf courses in Sydney are advised to check-in when they arrive. People who want to visit the café and bar can go directly to the Clubhouse upon arrival.
